Lewisville, located in southern Denton County, is surrounded by 9,000 protected acres of nature including the deep water Lake Lewisville, known as “Urban Bass Fishing Capital of Texas.” The lake is also popular for water sports, boating and its miles of scenic hike and bike trails. The City of Lewisville manages Lewisville Lake Park, a 622-acre park on the south shore of the lake, located less than a mile from I-35E. The Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area (LLELA) contains a variety of habitats and wildlife. From the summertime Sounds of Lewsville concerts, to the city’s annual Red White & Lewsville Fourth of July fireworks show, to the annual Western Days Festival in the fall, special events provide year round family entertainment to Lewisvillle, and build upon its strong sense of community pride. The MCL Grand in Lewisville is a boon to the area arts scene. This multi-purposed facility in Old Town includes a 296-seat auditorium, a recital hall, a gallery, classrooms, black box theater and a courtyard for outdoor entertainment.

The Lewisville Convention Center is located minutes from the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport on State Highway 121 at Interstate 35-E; the 17,000 sq. ft. center is conveniently part of the new Hilton Garden Inn.
Lewisville is fortunate to have many very strong neighborhoods. Some have been around for decades, while others were only built in recent years, but all are a part of the rich fabric that makes Lewisville such a great place to live. With more than 38 schools receiving the “Exemplary” rating and 20 schools earning the “Recognized” rating by the Texas Education Agency, families move into Lewisville Independent School District for its great schools, including six National Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence, which is the highest designation a school can earn by the United States Department of Education.
